Videos Not Loading in Microsoft Edge – How to Fix

✅ Quick fix (for one user)

If a video won’t play, you can disable Enhanced Security just for Wizer Training:

  1. Open Edge and go to the Wizer Training page.

  2. Click the lock/shield icon next to the address bar.

  3. Turn OFF Enhanced Security for this site.

  4. Refresh the page, the video should play.


🛠️ Admin fix (organization-wide)

If many people have this issue, IT admins should allow-list the Wizer domain so videos work for everyone:

*.wistia.com

*.wistia.net

embedwistia-a.akamaihd.net

 

Microsoft Intune (Cloud-Managed)

  1. In Intune Admin Center:
    Devices → Configuration Profiles → Create Profile

  2. Platform: Windows 10/11
    Profile type: Settings catalog

  3. Add setting:
    Microsoft Edge → Tracking Prevention Exceptions

  4. Add trusted domains

  5. Assign to target groups and save

 


🔍 If videos still don’t play

  • Confirm you’re using Microsoft Edge (not Internet Explorer mode).

  • Confirm the allow-list policy is correctly applied (check edge://policy).

  • Restart Edge after policy changes.

  • Try another browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari) to verify.
